A lot has changed in a year. Our company, previously known as Corphealth, has been rebranded as LifeSynch. Since last year's Engage presentation on Arkansas's state employees, we have increased participation in all six of our HealthMedia-supported programs and implemented new techniques (Hummingbird).
This presentation will include an update on last year's presentation, in which we demonstrated that employees experienced positive outcomes while participating in LifeSynch's Balance program, including weight loss and reduced impairment at work. This year, we will demonstrate how the Balance program has grown over time with updated outcomes, claims-based results, and productivity estimates. There is a sneaky bandit that most weight management programs overlook and it's called binge eating disorder (BED). Many of us have encountered binge eating in our own weight battles. When we acknowledge it, we realize that it is one of the causes that undermines a weight-loss program. Because of its close association with obesity, binge eating is a hidden driver of medical costs and lost productivity.
