Relax™ identifies each participant’s sources of stress, symptoms of stress, and the solution for managing his or her individual situation—such as stress resulting from work, school, family, health, relationships, and/or finances.
Relax™ emulates a health coaching session, without the coach, to deliver an individually tailored stress management plan. The plan teaches stress-coping skills and shows participants how to reduce stress levels along with managing the physical and psychological consequences of chronic stress and stress-related symptoms such as headaches, irritability, and sleep problems.
Relax™ is both interactive and dynamic—offering several tips, tools, and resources, such as iPod™-enabled relaxation videos.
The Relax™ intervention can also benefit those already in therapy by providing a wealth of self-directed stress management skills. It addresses stress-related co-behavioral and co-morbid issues such as weight, nutrition, smoking, depression, insomnia, and chronic disease management conditions.
Relax provided me with great tools for relaxation and relieving stress. I can put the tips to work and alleviate stress while I sit at my desk—just by doing a few simple breathing exercises. My blood pressure is even starting to come down as a result!
